Maria made this very beautiful shibori experiment in one of the workshop in September. But she run out of time and could not finish the dye process (also the vat capacity was finishing and it was only dying light blue by then). As she became busy for her work and could not come back to the hutte to continue with dyeing, I took over the dye task and continued to dye few more times.
In retrospect, I should have kept the shibori thread tighter all the time. I was afraid that it will not dye the fabric in between, and did not hold it very tight. As a result, It did not keep the shibori tie part very white… but still, I find it very beautiful. It will be good to do more tests to find the good balance of how tight one keeps and how much color to let in.
