Possible natural dye color palette

After Madlen’s natural dye workshop, I have been experimenting with the dye plants and see what color palette we can get from what we have at the garden.

This time, I mordant wool yarns with Aluminumtriformate (cold mordant) overnight then dyed with dyers camomile (yellow) and dyers cosmos (orange). I used 4g of cosmos with 20g of wool yarn, 3g of camomile with 20g of wool yarn (bottom left photo result). The Left bottom photo try-out was with left over dye liquid from the first one with extra 3g cosmos and camomile each. The orange is more yellow-orange as it had a bit of camomile in it as well. The thin yarn came out light yellow, as the thick one went into the dye bath first and probably took out most of the yellow before the thin yarn was introduced to the bath.

I hang them next to the indigo dye tryouts to dry… and I realize it is a quite nice color palette. This could be a nice knitted scarf. A nice idea for the winter creation!
