Now the temperature is dropping, the vats are still doing well. The above photos are from September 23. The last week the temperature stayed around 18-22 degrees (dropping to 10-12 at night), this week, it is around 16-18 degrees. I need to wear long sleeve when I cycle to the garden now.
I was afraid that the vat will stop working when it goes under 20 degrees. So far both of the vats are still doing ok. I hope we can dye for another week or two before they go to hibernation.
