The first batch is always brown even after letting the ash sink to the bottom. I separate the water above to another bucket. Boil water in two big pots one more time and poor onto the ash that was already used in the first batch. Mix it well again. After waiting for sometime, they separate and the water is clear this time. Save this clear water part to another bucket and use it as high PH ash water. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ash can be used for few times pouring boiling water to it.
