The day starts with bright sun light! We decide to use the good weather to do outside things today. We started off with a big task of clearing out the “DAS” – the biological toilette! Yes, one needs to empty it once in a while. It does not magically disappear. Christian is already digging a big hole. We made it deep enough that it can decompose without getting discovered by other animals. Then we carry the container from the DAS out and cover it well… it is done! When living in a city and flashing toilette, I do not think about what we leave behind… it is good to be reminded sometimes.
Then we go off to the woods for some walking. The sunshine does not reach inside the woods, but it is nice to walk in a fresh air. The floor is covered with green moss, soft and squishy… reminds me of American apartments covered with carpets.
Every time I walk into the woods, I get fascinated by all the patterns and structures from the plants, lichens and mushrooms. I end up taking a lot of detailed photos. I hope to reflect them in things I make, for this project, or maybe for something in future.
We were surprised to find yellow cantarella mushrooms in the woods at this time of the year. They usually appear only in summer to autumn time. I guess this is an affect of global warming?! In the beginning we found just one or two.. then we encounter a spot that had many big ones… that we decided to pick and take home. It ended up in our lunch. The last catarella cream pasta of the year.
This day became more of a holiday than working. After coming home, Mag makes her family recipe mustard. I make some recording of her beating cream. It is quite spicy and delicious!
After that we look into Orac patch of the Organelle. This patch is made to combine few of the patches on Organelle without having to program yourself. After watching some tutorials and reading more about it, and testing ourselves… we decided it is not for us. The Orac patch is pretty nice, but the module has to be converted to Orac, and the patches we wanted to use are not converted (only Analog style is converted). Also, as we have sensor input controlling the patch beside the knobs and keys we will need our own strategies to switch between patches and allocate the control interfaces. We decide that we will need to make our own patch that combine Analog style and DJ patch record patches.
