August 1st and 8th
Mitfärben group has harvested Persicaria Tinctoria. This is our first harvest of the season! I (mika) was not there, and Madlen has initiated the harvest action. Harvest was done is tow separate days, and although it looks a lot, this is not even the whole garden yet. It is quite impressive how big it grew in last weeks. As it rained a lot in Berlin for the July-early August, the harvested leaves were hang in Tunnel at Eli, in the Färbehütte, and even in Madlen’s van!
I am also happy that these action took place while I was away. Of course it owed Madlen who communicated to the group, and also to me for it to happen, but also many people came. It is nice to see that it is not only me in this project, but there are others who also care about the project and actively take their time to act. That makes me feel very warm. I am not alone.
