Dyer’s Chamomile

16. June, 2026

Dyer’s chamomile is now full in bloom. It is multiple year plants and it gives much more flowers in 2nd and 3rd year. We planted last spring and I did not see much flowers last summer, but now it is blooming a lot. The flowers gives a very nice neon yellow when dyeing with it. I harvested what I can and hang to dry.

Although it is nicely blooming, it has black lice on the stem. I heard you can use dishwashing soap to prevent them from coming. For now, I did not do anything and let it live there. I hope it does not eat up the whole plants.
